The fella’s over at LAist have an interesting read about a new promotion DirecTV and NBC are trying.
The jist is in certain ZipCodes in LA, you can get WNBC (NY Affiliate), for $6/mo. Though I’m not 100% sure why people would care, especially if they have a TiVO. Unless you really REALLY have to see that episode of To catch a predator on Dateline NBC.
As if Two and a 1/2 men wasn’t bad enough, they’re thinking of swapping writers fromCSI.
I have an idea, drive down to Chatsworth, grab a porno movie writer, and have him write the next episode of How I met your mother. I’ve never watched any of that show, but I can only imagine how that would go…. queue the cheesy porn music.
Anyhow, why would they think this is entertaining to anyone other than themselves? Or is it really a ratings stunt, because of how poorly both shows have been doing. Old and tired.
While we’re at it, why not change out some of the characters from CSI or Two and 1/2. with Bob Barker, and the Barker beauties….that would be better, couple that with the porn writer and thats definitely something I’d watch….me thinks.
One of my favorites is coming back today. Last Comic Standing, the only unfortunate part of the show is that it doesn’t showcase all the talent out there. Its really about the Judges picking their friends…but a dudes gotta get his laugh-on.

Don Herbert, who explained the wonderful world of science to millions of young baby boomers on television in the 1950s and ’60s as “Mr. Wizard” and did the same for another generation of youngsters on the Nickelodeon cable TV channel in the 1980s, died Tuesday. He was 89.
I remember watching the show before I went to work. Trying out the cool tricks like putting a piece of tape on a balloon, then sticking a needle through it.
Or him proving to us what a calorie actually is, and learning all about flash paper….Mr Wizard, we will miss you.
Wow, what a disappointment. Sheesh, AJ is happy whoopty doo, Uncle June has dimensia already covered that. They got Phil Leotardo, saw that coming.
What was the deal with Meadow not being able to park her damn car, made you feel like something was going to happen….and then nothing just 20 seconds of black screen…grrrrr
Does it leave you wanting more? Absolutely, does it look like they want a major motion picture? Yea. But what if they don’t get it?
What happened to the Russian they didn’t quite kill?
What about the indictment thats coming?
So many questions…maybe it wasn’t that bad, maybe it was intended to have sooooooo many damn questions and potentially never get them….grrr , i’m just angry.

NBC is streaming Paris Watch 2007. Its not quite on TV, but nonetheless facinating that they are treating her like O.J., I hope they pick her up in a White Bronco….
